Story & Concept

The ancient Egyptian culture is one that carries a lot of luxury and celebration in its history. The Opet was one of around 60 festivals celebrated by the ancient Egyptians to celebrate the god Amun and renewal of the land.

Considered to be the largest, the festival was a journey from the Karnak to the temple of Luxor with extravagant barks carrying shrines of their gods and joyous spectacles of festivities throughout the journey.

The concept is to create a brand with a mission to the revive the ancient Egyptian culture through their symbols and joyous energy of their festivals and to offer our loved ones for our current day festivities shrines of luxurious chocolate wrapped in heritage.

logo & visual identity

To create this version of the logo, it was simplified the letter O and adding the borders to abstract a cartouche and create a minimal submark.

Alongside the visual element, the color palette was also inspired by shades that were recorded to have been used by the ancient Egyptians in their temples.

The Nile Pattern

The design process for the products focused on presenting the ancient Egyptian symbols and icons in a clean form to show their beautiful intricacy.

The packaging, in contrast to that, is created with a texture with the inspiration of what an Egyptian treasure trove would have looked like carrying these precious symbols and meanings.

Packaging concepts were designed for the different chocolates based on their size and how we wanted the chocolates to be revealed and experienced.

To launch the brand, a simple social media campaign was designed to capture the local, giving and festive feel of the brand as well as showing the different chocolates of the first collection.
